STRUCTURAL & EXTERIOR FINISHES

The LuxPod is built on a hot-dip galvanised steel frame with insulated walls, roof, and flooring, providing structural strength, long-term corrosion resistance, and year-round thermal comfort. Its construction is designed to reduce external noise while maintaining durability and low maintenance for everyday use.

Key details:

  • Hot-dip galvanised steel frame using square tube construction (2–3 mm thickness)

  • Aluminium composite exterior shell (1 mm) formed as a continuous curved surface to minimise joins and improve weather resistance

  • XPS insulated panel system (75 mm) to walls and roof for thermal efficiency and sound reduction

  • Full-height double-glazed tempered glass front façade for natural light and openness

FLOORING & INTERIOR FINISHES

Each LuxPod is constructed on a solid MgO (magnesium oxide) structural floor base, providing a stable, fire-resistant, and moisture-tolerant foundation. A rigid SPC flooring system is installed over the base for durability, comfort, and long-term performance.

• MgO structural floor board for strength, fire resistance, and moisture tolerance

• 8 mm timber-look SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) plank flooring installed over the MgO base

• Fully waterproof, scratch-resistant, and low-maintenance flooring suitable for everyday use

• Matching skirting trims and edge finishes installed throughout for a clean, finished interior

BATHROOM FIXTURES

The LuxPod bathroom is supplied largely pre-fitted, with final plumbing connections completed on site by a licensed tradesperson. The layout is designed for efficient use of space, durability, and everyday practicality.

• Walk-in shower with fixed glass screen and dual showerheads

• Moisture-resistant wall linings throughout

• Modern ceramic toilet suite

• Compact vanity with integrated basin, mixer tapware, and rose-accent finishes

• Wall-mounted mirror above vanity

The LuxPod is fitted with double-glazed glass throughout to support thermal comfort and acoustic performance. The front façade features a full-height glazed opening that connects the living space directly to the outdoors.

• Double-glazed glazing used throughout for improved thermal and acoustic performance

• Full-height glazed front façade incorporating dual swing glass entry doors to the main living area

• Privacy glass panel along the bathroom wall to allow natural light without direct visibility

• Bathroom entry door finished with frosted glass for privacy while maintaining light transfer

PLUMBING HARDWARE

Plumbing services are pre-installed throughout the LuxPod, allowing for straightforward final connection by a licensed tradesperson once the unit is in position.

• Hot and cold water lines are pre-plumbed to the kitchen and bathroom, terminating in threaded brass inlets

• Grey water from the kitchenette and bathroom is connected via a 50 mm PVC pipe to a single outlet point

• Toilet waste is pre-plumbed using a 100 mm PVC line, exiting through the wall with a P-trap configuration

ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS

Electrical cabling is run from the external cable tail through to the Electrical Distribution Board (EDB), complete with circuit protection, and then distributed to all lighting points, switches, and power outlets in accordance with Australian Standard AS3001. Provision is also included for connection of an air-conditioning system.

Final connection of mains power, lights, switches, and power outlets must be carried out by a licensed electrician to suit site-specific requirements.
